        <![CDATA[Our Utah Teen Eagles learned how to spread their wings and soar to new heights as we learned how to trust each other and work as a team.&nbsp; Our teens learned a whole new meaning of "heights" as they did high ropes course challenges 40 ft. off of the ground!<br /><br /><span class="mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-image" style="display: inline;"><a href="http://www.eagleteens.com/untitled.JPG"><img alt="untitled.JPG" src="http://www.eagleteens.com/assets_c/2009/08/untitled-thumb-420x293-41.jpg" class="mt-image-right" style="margin: 0pt 0pt 20px 20px; float: right;" width="420" height="293" /></a></span>We also had the honor of listening to two amazing guest speakers Utah Representative Greg Hughes and Cherilyn Eagar Republican candidate for the United States Senate!&nbsp; It was an inspiring experience to hear how these two incredible people have soared to new heights as they have explored the world of government!<br /><br />Representative Greg Hughes enlightened our minds as we explored the possibilities in education.&nbsp; Our teens became very involved in the discussion as they expressed their views on education!<br /><br />Cherilyn Eagar also opened our eyes to new possibilities in the United States Senate as she told us of her plans of action!&nbsp; We hope many of our teens will volunteer to support her in her campaign!&nbsp; For information about Cherilyn Eagar and her progress please visit <a href="http://www.eagarforsenate.com/">www.eagarforsenate.com</a>!<br /><br />To close our conference we had a mock city council where our teens practiced speaking up and being heard in their communities!&nbsp; Each of our teens reasoned the purpose of government in their community and then voiced their opinion!<br /><br />We handed out copies of The Constitution and Declaration of Independence and asked our teens to take the pledge to read through these founding documents and really take them to heart!<br /><br /><span class="mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-image" style="display: inline;"><img alt="untitled2.JPG" src="http://www.eagleteens.com/untitled2.JPG" class="mt-image-center" style="margin: 0pt auto 20px; text-align: center; display: block;" width="278" height="207" /></span><br /><div align="center">If you have any questions or comments about this newsletter or the Utah Teen Eagle organization please contact Michelle Seegmiller, Utah Teen Eagle President, at&nbsp; mseegmiller@gmail.com. </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>]]>

        <![CDATA[This triathlon doesn't use the traditional three activities (running, cycling and swimming), but instead has a bit more unusual event areas:<br /><ol><li>Academics: Courses and shorter studies that relate to the Constitution and the Worldview/Culture war in which the Constitution is a central battleground.</li><li>Articulation: The presentations of persuasive speeches and moot court argumentation focusing on the hot issues, court decisions, etc.</li><li>Activism: Projects in which students put into action the knowledge and skills they have acquired with emphasis on "teens teaching teens."</li></ol>Participants came to Plano, TX from a wide ares ranging from San Antonio to Southern Oklahoma to participate in moot court presentations, give skits explaining landmark court decisions, judge events involving audience participation and a multitude of other duties necessary to conducting a large two-day event for teens.&nbsp; Eagle Forum gives a big thanks to AnnaGrace Sloan, Dr. Virginia Armstrong and the Blackstone Institute for doing their part to raise young patriots. <br /> ]]>
